Fantasy Football tips: Lingard our best bet for a busy weekend

The next round of Premier League fixtures promises to be an exciting one for Fantasy Football managers with some of the top teams going head to head. Manchester United entertain Everton at Old Trafford on Saturday night and Liverpool are at home to Manchester City on Sunday.

Team selection is also an issue with key injuries to some of the highest point-scoring players in the league such as Sadio Mane, Kevin De Bruyne and Harry Kane.

We have thoroughly researched the stats and odds and picked five players that will give you the best chance of bagging the most points at the weekend, with our Fantasy Football tips and picks.

Lingard out to prove his worth

Jesse Lingard joined West Ham United from Manchester United in the final week of the January transfer window and the 28-year-old made a great start with two goals on his debut in the 3-1 victory over Aston Villa in midweek.

Lingard had been out of the first-team picture at Old Trafford but under David Moyes, a manager who knows him, and at a club that will give him regular gametime, there is an opportunity for him to show he is capable of performing at the highest level.

In their next two league games, West Ham are away to relegation-threatened Fulham on Saturday and face bottom club Sheffield United on Monday week. It may be the perfect time for Fantasy players to get Lingard in their teams.

Lingard is 4/1 to score at any time against Fulham on Saturday, and you can back this on Virgin Bet below if you’re confident the Englishman can build on his devastating debut.

City make case for defence

Manchester City have won their last 13 games in all competitions and have conceded just three times in that period, proving they can defend as well as attack.

Ruben Dias and John Stones have been at the heart of that run. The pair have blossomed throughout City’s winning streak and, having regained his place for his club, Stones looks like he can play his way back into the England side for the European Championship finals.

City face Liverpool next in the league, and we think that transferring Stones into your Fantasy side is a smart decision, especially when you consider that they have conceded just 13 goals all season.

You can back Stones and City to keep yet another clean sheet this Sunday at Anfield, as they aim to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table.

Maddison eyes Euro dream

James Maddison has been improving week by week in the current campaign, and is starting to produce the sort of numbers that many have long predicted from the 24-year-old.

He has netted six times in the league this season and on Wednesday showed his creative side as he set up both goals for the Foxes in the win over Fulham. The first was an excellent cross, with the second a finely threaded through ball into James Justin.

The attacking midfielder will have his eyes set on playing for England at the Euros this summer, and there’s no reason why he can’t achieve that goal if he continues in his current vein of form.

Leicester face an inconsistent Wolverhampton Wanderers side next, and Maddison is a player who should be drafted into your Fantasy squad if you’re looking to add consistent points from midfield.

You can back Maddison to have over 0.5 assists in the match at Molineux at 2/1 on Virgin Bet.

Saka steps up for Arsenal

In an up-and-down season for Arsenal, Bukayo Saka has been consistently impressive, scoring five times and producing some standout performances.

He has improved on a good start to the season with a number of fine recent displays that have enabled him to keep some of the more experienced players out of the side.

He is a shrewd pick to bring into your Fantasy Football team, and he’s another player who will have one eye on the Euros with the hope that he will be involved in Gareth Southgate’s summer squad.

Arsenal travel to an inconsistent Aston Villa side this weekend, and you can back Saka to net in the fixture at a solid price of 11/4 with Virgin Bet.

Dunk worth a chance

This pick may surprise some, but Lewis Dunk has been sensational over the last two games for Brighton and Hove Albion and we think his form will continue in February.

Dunk was key in the victories over Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool and the centre-back as Brighton kept a pair of clean sheets and pushed themselves further away from the relegation zone.

They have shown signs of improvement throughout the campaign and we now expect them to continue that against sides in and around them in the table.

Their next four league matches are against Burnley, Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and West Brom, meaning Dunk could be a shrewd signing for your Fantasy Football side if you’re looking for a points-scoring defender over the coming weeks.

Brighton are 11/8 to keep a clean sheet against Burnley, and we think that’s worth backing considering the club’s current form.
